Christmas Stamping All Year Long Challenge #9

I am still working backwards through the first challenges at CSAYL.

Here is the sketch for #9:

Here's my take on it. I apologize for the poor picture quality - the color looks funny:

I cheated a little on this one. Everything is cut out of patterned paper. I love the reindeer in the background snowboarding, making snowmen, sledding, etc. The sentiment "reindeer games" also is cut out of patterned paper.

Christmas Stamping All Year Long Challenge #18

Here is this week's sketch from Christmas Stampin' All Year Long:Here is my card:

I used my Martha Stewart snowflake punch, stampin up ticket punch, EK success snowflake edge punch, and stamps.

Memorial Day Weekend at the NJ shore...

Here are a few pictures from our trip to Longport, NJ for Memorial Day weekend:

There is an awesome beach just for dogs in Somers Point, NJ. We took the dogs there several times.

Daphne is obsessed with fetch...
Rocky was frolicking in the water the whole time...

Rocky (left) met another boxer to play with...
Tug of war is one of their favorite games...

Picture Frame/New Baby Announcement

I had made a picture frame similar to this for my friend Kim. (She had a baby in January). Kim's sister just had a baby, so she asked me to make this for her.

The baby's room is purple and the theme is Snoopy.

I blocked out the last name on this, but you get the idea.

I used Storybook for the shapes & text. I bought the Snoopy stickers.

The dogs...

I just took this picture of the dogs in my scrapbooking room... I thought I would share it.

Daphne is on the left, she is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (like Lady from Lady and the Tramp or Elizabeth Taylor from Sex and the City). Rocky, on the right, is a Boxer.

Christmas Stamping All Year Long Challenge #17

This week, Christmas Stampin' All Year Long's challenge was a color challenge. We had to create a card using sage, apricot, and chocolate. I really had to think outside the box for this one. I looked through my paper collection and saw this beautiful hawaiian print. I recently bought a penquin hula girl stamp and I thought that this would be the perfect time to try it out. Here's what I came up with:
Mele Kalikimaka means Merry Christmas in Hawaiian. My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Hawaii, so this card seemed appropriate.

I used an Imaninisce stamp, DCWV travel stack (sand), Cricut Life's a Beach cartridge, and rhinestones.

****UPDATE 6/1******

I decided that this card wasn't "Christmassy" enough. So I added a santa hat to the penguin;s head and christmas lights to the palm tree. I think it looks much better. What do you think?

Facelift for my blog....

I was on PinkLady50's blog (she does AWESOME decoupage cards!) the other day, and I noticed that she had a cute blinkie that said "share some love, leave a comment." I clicked on the blinkie and went to shabbyblogs.com (and yes, I have the same blinkie on the top right of my page!).

I decided that my blog needed a facelift. I found this awesome background and header, so I added it to my blog. I hope you like it!

Thank you PinkLady50! (And shabbyblogs.com!)

My husband and I went to a wedding on Saturday. I thought I would share a picture of us.

Christmas Stamping All Year Long Challenge #16

I recently discovered a blog for making Christmas cards all year long. It is my personal goal to make all of my Christmas cards this year. This is my first year making cards, so I'm not sure how realistic that goal is...

The blog is called Christmas Stampin' All Year Long. Every Monday they post a challenge.

This is this week's sketch:

We also had to include a little bling (I used gold dimensional paint).

Here is my card:

Baby Shower Card

A baby shower card for my friend who is having a little girl. I used Wild Card, Storybook, stamps, cuttlebug swiss dots, markers, and heart shaped brads.

Anniversary Card

My parent's anniversary is May 15th. I made this card for them.

No cricut - I hand cut the heart. I used the cuttlebug hearts folder, stamps, ribbon, and markers. On, and I used pre-cut chipboard buttons too. A quick and easy card.
