Tuesday Throwdown #1

I'm so excited!  A few weeks ago, I was asked to be a DT member for Tuesday Throwdown.  Today is our first challenge!

The challenge was to color a stamped image - nice and easy!  We all used stamps from our sponsor, Sweet 'n Sassy stamps!  I chose the Precious Baby stamp, because I have 5 (yes, 5!) pregnant friends, so I thought I would get cracking on baby cards.  My friend Shel is having a little girl in September and naming her Avery, so I made this card for her.

Details:
Patterned paper - K & Co
Stamp - Precious Baby by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
Misc - Cricut Wild Card Cart, Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Letter Beads, Stickles, Buttons, Ribbon, and Flowers from stash

May Christmas All Year Long

It's that time again!  On the 25th of each month, there is a Christmas card blog hop for the Magnolia-licious yahoo group.  It's great because I will have plenty of Christmas cards ready for this year!

I used Tilda & Edwin under the mistletoe and the winter trees.  I get all of my stamps from Magnolia-licious.

If you want to start at the beginning of the hop, please click HERE.

If you came here from Kerry's blog, you're on the right track.

The next stop on the hop is Leoni's Blog.

I did a TON of paper piecing on this card.  Tilda's whole outfit and all of the trees and background are made out of patterned paper by Me & My Big Ideas.

Bathroom Renovation

My husband and I renovated the bathroom this weekend. Here are some pics.

When we moved in (2008) the walls and radiator cover were pale yellow. The room was so bland, but it took us two years to get around to painting.

We bought a new shower curtain, light fixture,  curtains, rugs, towel bar, toilet paper holder, shower rod, trash can, toothbrush holder, and soap dispenser.  I also got an adorable "relax" sign from Marshalls.

We have a beach theme, with photos and souvenirs from our trips to St Thomas, St John, and Hawaii.

I've been doing some crafting, but I can't show any of it to you yet.  Please stop by on Tuesday 5/25 for my first DT project for Tuesday Throwdown.  Can't wait!!!!!

Mother's Day Cards

Happy (belated) Mother's Day to all of the mothers out there.  I've had a busy weekend, and I am just getting around to posting pics of the cards I made on Saturday.  (Nothing like procrastinating, lol).

I needed to make quick and easy cards, plus I wanted to try out my new distress inks.  I saw a tutorial by Tim Holtz where you stamp the pad onto a craft mat and spritz water to make a water color design.

I needed 4 cards, one for my mom, mother in law, grandmother, and grandmother in law.

Supplies: Distress Inks in Tattered Rose, Concord Grape, Peeled Paint, Broken China, Cricut Lyrical Letters Cartridge, Studio G sentiment stamp, adhesive pearls

Getting Ready - Wedding Spread

I really liked the sketch at Stuck on you Sketches this week.

I finally ordered my wedding prints and am starting my wedding album.  We all got ready together at my parents house.  We each had a "station" in the dining room where we could do our make-up.  If you look at the bottom center pic, I am using aerosol hairspray to "set" our make-up.  It works so well!
