LM 533 - Techniques - Embossing

This month at Lasting Memories, we are focusing on techniques.  This week, our challenge is to use embossing on our layouts.  

I created a layout using come "wet" embossing with gold embossing powder.  I found some Stampin' Up pumpkin stamps, stamped them with versamark ink, added gold embossing powder and heated it up.  

I stuck them on my layout in several places.  Can you find all four?

This layout has a photo from this year's birthday dinner.  My husband and I were born 10 days apart, so we celebrate our birthdays together.  My father in law hosted and my two brothers in law brought their girlfriends for the first time.  We took this photo for my father in law to use on his xmas card.  This was also the first time that I met the dog my brother in law just adopted.  Her name is Kodiak or Kodi for short.

LM 532 - Wheel of Fortune - Events

  This month at Lasting Memories, we are taking inspiration from Wheel of Fortune categories.  This week, our challenge is to use the prompt "events" to create a layout from an event.

I created this layout using a photo from my annual "ho ho ho" pollyanna.

LM 531 - Wheel of Fortune - Best Seller

 This month at Lasting Memories, we are taking inspiration from Wheel of Fortune categories.  This week, our challenge is to use the prompt "best seller" to create a layout with a tie into reading.

I am a huge reader.  In fact, I read 95 books in 2020!  My favorite place to read is on the beach.  I love to have my feet in the sand and a book in my hand.

January Challenge YOUrself

 Here's this month's prompt at Challenge YOUrself:

I am obsessed with the 1920's and I hosted a Roaring 2020's New Year Party.  It was the highlight of 2020 for me, especially since Covid took over two months after this.  All of my friends participated by wearing flapper dresses and gangster suits and we had an amazing time!  I love this photo of my husband and I.

January Stick it Down

 Here's the January sketch for Stick it Down by yours truly:

I used photos from Easter 2020 to create this layout.  With covid, the holiday was a little different this year.  We socially distanced and had a backyard BBQ.  Someone in our neighborhood drove around with their head out the sunroof, dressed as the Easter bunny.  It was so cute.

I created a layout using photos of curling my hair using these crazy curlers.  I absolutely love them and they work so well in my hair.
