SpiegelMom Scraps Layout with Stick it Down

This month, Stick it Down is partnering with SpiegelMom Scraps.  I received some fabulous sequins and I was asked to make a second layout this month.  I am on the double page DT at Stick it Down, so I decided to take a stab at the single page sketch for this month.

Here's the sketch from Stick it Down:

Looking at the sketch, I knew I had to get out my paints and make a mixed media background.  I love how it turned out.

These photos are of my friend's daughter and I.  Olivia is my little buddy.  She's 4 years old and extremely spunky and opinionated.  She loves princesses, mermaids, bunnies and all things pink.  She loves taking snapchat photos with me and I thought these bunny photos would be perfect for this layout.

I am entering this layout into the challenge at CSI: Color Stories Inspiration.  I used pink, black, white and teal from the inspiration photo, an animal, an insect, flowers and sequins.

Disneyland 2018

I wanted to share a quick and easy layout that I created.  This was made with a kit from Paper Wizard.  This is not my design.

In January, my annual sales meeting for my job was in Aneheim, California.  Our meetings were over early and we had the opportunity to go to Disneyland.  Of course, I jumped at the chance.  I had so much fun visiting the park with some of my co-workers.

Supplies:
Page kit from Paper Wizard using Authentique's Pastime Collection

LM 414 - Mixed Bag - Color Challenge

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is "mixed bag."  This week, we have a mood board with a beautiful fall color challenge.

Last year, I came home one day to a baby squirrel on my porch.  He came right over to me and CLIMBED UP MY LEG!?!  For a couple days, I fed him peanut butter and bread from my hand.  He hung out beneath my BBQ grille.

I called a local wildlife rescue and they told me to stop feeding him, put gloves on and place him in a tree.  That's what I did, and I never saw him again.  I had to create a layout with some of the adorable pictures of my little buddy.

LM 413 - Mixed Bag - Three's

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is "mixed bag."  This week, our challenge is to use three's on your layout.

I have lived in Philadelphia my entire life, so of course I am an Eagles fan.  I created this layout using photos from one of the MANY football parties we hosted this year.

I have had this football paper FOREVER.  I am pretty sure it was in a "Miss Elizabeth's" pack that I got at AC Moore 10 years ago.  To go along with the challenge, I used three photos, three patterned papers and three football players as embellishments on my layout.

LM 412 - Mixed Bag - Either Or

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is "Mixed Bag." This week is an either or challenge. You need to choose one item for the each of these 5 on this list:
Stripes or Polka Dots
Circles or Squares
Wood Veneer or Washi Tape
Enamel Dots or Sequins
Hearts or Stars

Seeing both stripes and stars on the list, I decided to create a 4th of July layout with photos from last month.  I used stripes, circles, wood veneer, enamel dots and stars.  This was a great way to use up some of my OLD patriotic stash items.

My brother hosted 4th of July this year.  He has an in-ground pool, and it was a hot day, so we spent a lot of time in the pool.  It was my nephew's first 4th of July, so we took tons of pictures of the baby!

Wood Veneer by Fancy Pants

Here's this months sketch for Stick it Down:

Our sponsor this month is Spiegelmom Scraps.  They are offering a lovely prize to one lucky random winner!  If you shop on their site, use the code SIDSMS for 20% off your order!

When I saw the sketch, it took me a while to figure out which photo to use.  I ended up choosing photos from my trip to Ireland last year.

After our flights, layovers, renting a car, and checking into our hotel, we had traveled for the better past of a day.  Our first stop was Guinness storehouse in Dublin. After all that traveling, we really needed a beer!

LM 411 - Mixed Bag - Fun

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is Mixed Bag.  This week, our challenge is to create a summer themed layout using the word "fun."

I have been working on my Bahamas trip album.  On our last full day in the Bahamas, it was a bit dreary.  We spent some time at the beach, but it looked like it was going to pour.  We wanted to move closed to the hotel, in case the rain began, so we hung out by the pool.  There was a swim-up bar, so it was awesome.

Cloud Stencil (sorry, I don't know the manufacturer)
