LM 454 - Patriotism - Red, White & Blue

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is Patriotism.  This week, we are using red, white and blue on our layouts. 

My husband and I went to the Bahamas last year.  We stayed at the Atlantis.  While we were visiting Nassau, we saw this Lighthouse on a peninsula across the bay.  We weren't able to get any good photos, but when I got home, I found this aerial image on google.  I had to scrap it - you can see our hotel behind the lighthouse.

Scrappy Christmas in July Challenge #1

Last year, I discovered #scrappychristmasinjuly and I am participating again this year.  Tracey Fox is even giving challenges this year on the Scrappy Like a Fox Facebook Page.

The first challenge is to scraplift a non-holiday layout.  I chose this one from Paige Evans:

Here's my version.  I had a bunch of photos of my holiday decor that I wanted to use, so this layout was perfect.  Plus, it allowed me to bash a bunch of my stash of frames!

LM 452 - Summer Fun - Everyday Outdoor Activities

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is "summer fun."  This week, our challenge is create a layout about everyday outdoor activities.

I am not really an outdoorsy person.  I like the pool or the beach, but I am not much for hiking or doing other outdoor things.  During the summer, I spend a lot of time at my brother's pool.  Last summer, I had Fridays off from work, so I was basically there weekly.  My nephew Spencer was only a few months old, so I was glad to spend some time with him.  The photo of my brother in the inner tube with the duckie just cracks me up!

LM 451 - Summer Fun - "Summer" in the title

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is "summer fun."  This week, our challenge is to use the word summer in your title.

I went through my photos from last summer and came across these.  One of my friends from work (who lives in MN) came to visit me and we spent a weekend at the beach (NJ).  One of my other friends from work lives in NJ, so she and her son met us at the beach.  It was such a fun day!

LM 450 - Summer Fun - Vacation Photos

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is "summer fun."  This week, our challenge is to create a layout with vacation photos.

Last May, my husband and I went to the Bahamas.  This layout is the first page of the album.  On our last day there, I wrote Bahamas 2018 in the sand and took photos as the waves were coming toward it.  I love how these photos turned out.

June Stick it Down

I have realized recently that the majority of my SID DT projects are Christmas layouts.  I make at least 10 double page spreads to cover December events each year.  I cover most of my other events as single pages.  

This layout uses photos from Christmas night at my brother's house.  There's pictures of my husband, my nephew, my father and me opening gifts.  I will use a CTMH photo picket to hold 6 additional photos of the rest of my family opening gifts.

LM 449 - Summer Fun - Water Photos

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is "summer fun."  This week, our challenge is create a layout using water photos.

Last summer, Mike and I went to the Bahamas.  While we were there, we were able to do something that has been on my bucket list FOREVER!  We went swimming with the dolphins.  It was such an incredible experience and I am so glad that we did it!

LM 447 - Stamp Your Stash - Stamp Free For All

This month at Lasting Memories, we are stamping on our layouts.  This week, our challenge is a free for all. I am REALLY loving using stamps on my layouts and need to continue to do it after this month's challenges are done!

I have yet another Christmas layout.  I am still scrapping last Christmas.  Plus, Christmas layouts are my absolute favorite thing to create.  I am working to bash some of my Christmas stash too.

I have a Stampin' Up stamp set with ugly sweaters and I had the perfect photos.  Every year, I host an ugly sweater party at the bar where I bartend.  This year was our 5th annual event.  

I stamped the sweaters on white cardstock and colored them in using my Stampin Up markers.  I decided to create a tree out of them and I am happy with how this layout turned out.

I have been dying to scrapbook this adorable photo of my kitten, Oliver.  He was laying in front of my Christmas pillow looking so cute.

It perfectly matched a Merry Christmas sentiment stamp that I got from Stampin' Up several years ago:
