This fortnight at Craft Us Crazy, our challenge is distressing or vintage.  I love hydrangeas and I just got a hydrangea stamp from my Stampin' Up party, so I used it for this challenge.

This fortnight at Craft Us Crazy, our challenge is red, white, and blue.  I had some photos from last Fourth of July that I was really excited to scrap. 

My husband's best friend has the cutest daughter, Alana.  She turned 1 on July 3rd.  We went to the baby parade that morning, then we went to her birthday party.

This fortnight, our challenge at Craft Us Crazy is father's day and/or masculine. I chose to make another card with Stampin' Up's The Open Sea.  I'm really loving it, plus my father in law and grandfather in law were in the Navy, so it works perfectly.

This fortnight, our challenge at Craft Us Crazy is "love or remembrance."  You can interpret the challenge any way that you like. 

For some reason, I was REALLY in the mood to make Christmas layouts... I made about 6 in the last week.  This is one from our first Christmas together.  I was two months after we got married, and it was the first Christmas that Mike had been home in several years (he had been overseas for the Army).

My husband and I have shared 36 years together and we have 2 sons and a daughter and 2 glorious grandkids ages 3 and 6.

I started collecting vintage cards quite by accident. I was helping with my aunts estate sale and ran across her collection. The cards were so wonderful that I fell in love with them and have been collecting them ever since.

This week at Craft Us Crazy, our challenge is "Celebrations."  I knew that I wanted to create a layout, and I knew just which pictures I wanted to use.  These are from my nephew's 7th birthday last March.

Craft Us Crazy Challenge 1

I've been dying to scrapbook these photos for a while, and I thought this was the perfect time. 

Here's the story behind the photos:  My husband and I moved into our house in May 2008.  When my parents came to visit for the first time, they brought us a hanging flowering basket.  A few weeks later, I was watering my plant and I noticed that there was a birds nest with 5 eggs inside!  My husband and I checked the nest daily and we were able to watch the 5 eggs/birds grow until they were old enough to leave the nest.  How neat!
