For some reason, I was REALLY in the mood to make Christmas layouts... I made about 6 in the last week.  This is one from our first Christmas together.  I was two months after we got married, and it was the first Christmas that Mike had been home in several years (he had been overseas for the Army).

Lasting Memories 39

Well, we survived!  Yesterday wasn't the end of the world! 

This week at Lasting Memories, our challenge is "florals." I chose to create a layout with pictures from the day after our wedding. There's photos of the floral arrangements from the reception as well as a pic of the happy couple!

If you are a regular visitor to my blog, you will know that I created a wedding scrapbook using purple, which was the bridesmaid dress color.  The table flowers were supposed to be purple mums, since it was fall.  When I walked into the reception, I realized that they had used burgundy!  I wasn't really happy about it, but it was too late.

Christmas Card for this week

Ok, so I have been a major slacker when it comes to my weekly Christmas card.  I have been super busy with work and I haven't had much time to craft, other than what I need for my DT's. 

I got a gorgeous card kit by Anna Griffin on QVC.  It came with the cards, pre-cut papers, embellishments, ribbons, and sentiments.  So this was a VERY quick and easy card, but I like the way it turned out.

Lasting Memories 36

This week at Lasting Memories, our challenge is "all about me."  I wasn't sure what to do with this one.  Then I remembered the pictures that my friend Ben took several years ago.  Ben was really getting into photography and he needed a model.  I worked as a professional model for several years, so Ben asked me to help him out.  We took most of these pictures in my parents yard in Philly.  The one on the water was taken on the point in Longport, NJ, which is where my parents have our summer house, and where Ben lives year round.  (If you notice that the photos are watermarked, they have my maiden name on them). 

I ordered this gorgeous Peacock Lane paper by Bo Bunny and I got it in the mail last week.  I LOVE IT!  Purple is my favorite color and I love it paired with teal.  I also have an obsession with peacocks, so this is perfect!
