LM 457 - Plants - Trees

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is plants.  This week, we are using trees on our layouts.

Since I am doing #ScrappyChristmasinJuly challenge again this year, I thought that a Christmas tree would be perfect for this challenge.  Last year was Oliver's first Christmas.  He absolutely loved the Christmas tree.  He would lay on the tree skirt, climb the tree and bat at the ornaments.  I thought the title "Oh Christmas Tree, your ornaments are history" was appropriate, LOL.

Scrappy Christmas in July - Holiday Fun

Here's another layout for the #scrappychristmasinjuly challenge.  I love how this one turned out.  I used photos of my niece, Evelyn.  She's the daughter of my BFF.  They live across the country in Los Angeles (I'm in Philadelphia).  They came to Philly for the holidays, so I was able to spend some quality time with them.

Scrappy Christmas in July - Noel

I completed a couple more layouts for #scrappychristmasinjuly.  These photos are of my father in law and two brothers in law opening gifts on Christmas morning.  I used the Merry Days collection to create a holiday scene.

LM 456 - Patriotism - Celebrate Your Country

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is Patriotism.  This week, we are celebrating our country by showing our favorite place to visit or what you love about your country.

I have lived in Philadelphia my whole life and I absolutely love my city.  Last summer, my work bestie came to visit me (she lives in MN).  I took her around Philly to show her the sights.  We went to see the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and other Philadelphia landmarks.

Scrappy Christmas in July - Challenge #3

Last year, I discovered #scrappychristmasinjuly and I am participating again this year.  Tracey Fox is even giving challenges this year on the Scrappy Like a Fox Facebook Page.  Tracey does an instagram video series called #scrappytrendwatch, so she combined it with challenge 3:

These are Tracey's latest scrappy trend watch videos.  I chose to make a layout using "the inner circle."  I love wreath layouts, especially for Christmas.  I love being able to use a bunch of supplies on a layout without it looking cluttered.

Scrappy Christmas in July - Challenge #2

Last year, I discovered #scrappychristmasinjuly and I am participating again this year.  Tracey Fox is even giving challenges this year on the Scrappy Like a Fox Facebook Page.  Here is challenge 2:

I love using non-traditional colors!  My favorite Christmas collections all seem to include other colors, especially pink and teal.

In December, my friend and I took her kids to a gingerbread display in Peddler's Village (Lahaska, PA).  We did some shopping, had lunch and checked out all the gorgeous gingerbread creations.  It was an awesome girls day.  I had to make this layout super girly!

Scrappy Christmas in July - Another for Challenge #1

Last year, I discovered #scrappychristmasinjuly and I am participating again this year.  Tracey Fox is even giving challenges this year on the Scrappy Like a Fox Facebook Page.

The first challenge is to scraplift a non-holiday layout.  I liked this challenge so much that I did it a second time!  I chose this one from Jen Schow:

Here's my version.  I had a bunch of photos of my holiday decor that I wanted to use, so this layout was perfect.  Plus, it allowed me to bash a bunch of my stash of Crate Paper Snow & Cocoa!

July Stick it Down

Here's the July Stick it Down sketch made by yours truly.  I figured this sketch would give you a great way to use up some scraps.  I love the idea of having half circles around the entire border of the page.

I decided to use photos from my nephew's first birthday party.  I took a ton, so I used a bunch of small photos.  I recently went to a scrapbook yard sale and I found this monster paper pack from CTMH.  It was PERFECT.  The colors matched all the party decor and my nephew's outfit!
