LM 340 - Use bunnies, chicks or eggs

HAPPY EASTER!  At Lasting Memories, our theme this month is spring.  This week's challenge is to use bunnies, chicks or eggs.

I created a layout using some Easter photos from a couple years ago.

LM 339 - Use the word spring

At Lasting Memories this month, our theme is spring.  This week, our challenge is to use the word spring in your layout.

I love this photo of my friends and I.  We went out in April for a girls night, since the spring weather was so beautiful.

April Stick it Down Double Page Layout

Here's the April sketch for Stick it Down:

This was a little outside of my comfort zone. I don't usually do a lot of spraying on my layouts, but I pulled our my Heidi Shine and was pretty pleased with the results.

LM 337 - Use 5 different patterned papers

This week at Lasting Memories, our challenge is to use 5 different patterned papers. There's an optional birthday theme, but I am still trying to finish up my Christmas 2016 pages.

I got this kit at the CKC convention last summer, but I made some modifications.  I love this paper line by October Afternoon.

LM 336 - Use three tags

This week at Lasting Memories, the challenge is to use 3 tags on your layout, with the optional theme of birthdays.  I don't have any birthday pictures to scrap, currently.  I am trying to finish up Christmas 2016.

I got a great kit at the CKC Convention in Lancaster last summer.  Some of this layout is based on the kit, but I put my own spin on it.

March Stick it Down Double Page Layout

This month at Stick it Down, we used this sketch:

I just printed all of my photos from Christmas.  I used photos from my pollyanna with my friends.  I absolutely LOVE the photo of us laying on the floor with our heads together.  I think we look like a snowflake.

LM 334 - Use a Banner

Hellllooooo!  I'm back!  I had a short hiatus.  As always, we are renovating our 100 year old house. We are working on one of the 2nd floor bedrooms currently.  We gutted the room to add insulation in the walls and re-wire to get rid of knob & tube wiring.  My scrap room is on the 3rd floor directly above this bedroom, so when my husband cut the wires, I lost electricity in my scrap room. I now have light, just no electrical outlets, so I guess I won't be using my cricut for a little while, LOL.

Anyway, this week's challenge at Lasting Memories is to use a banner on your layout.  There's an optional theme of birthdays this month.

We took a family photo at Christmas and I really love it.  I wanted a layout to showcase it, and I found this awesome Christmas banner on the patterned paper.  Here's my layout:

LM 327 - Ribbon, Washi or Paper Strips

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is "stash busters," using up our stash.  This week's challenge is to use ribbon, washi tape or paper strips.

I have been working on my album from my trip to Disneyland with my BFF last January.  I absolutely love this photo of the two of us with our snacks at the park.

Confession: I got a Mickey shaped ice cream bar just so I could take a picture to use in my scrapbook.  Haven't you ever taken a photo specifically to go with scrapbook paper you like?  I absolutely loved the red background paper with the Mickey ice cream on it.  LOL

January Stick it Down Double Page Layout

I am super excited to be joining the design team at Stick it Down.  This is the double page layout for January:

I decided to scrap some photos from my road trip in October.  We went to Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Maine.

In Boston, we stayed at the Park Plaza, across the street from the Boston Public Garden.  We loved the "Make Way for Ducklings" statue, since we read the book as a child. Here's the layout I created using the sketch:

LM 325 - Punches

This month at Lasting Memories, we are having "stash buster" challenges!  For this week, pull out your punches (or die cuts/ephemera if you don't have punches)

I have been trying to re-organize my scrap room and my punches are boxed up right now.  So I used my Cricut Explore and created this page to showcase my 2015 Christmas Card.

It was inspired this layout by Melanie at Courtney Lane Designs.
