A Monkey Themed Diaper Cake for baby Avery

My friend Shel's shower is next weekend.  I have a business trip this weekend, so I wanted to make sure that her diaper cake was done before I left.

This is the first diaper cake I've ever made and I am really pleased with the way it turned out.  Shel isn't really into pink, so I tried not to use too much.  Shel loves monkeys, so I decided to do a monkey themed cake.

Shel has always loved Paul Frank, and aren't these booties to die for?

Can you believe that Babies R Us has a sippy cup with the name Avery on it?

OMG - these are to die for too!  Shel will LOVE them - she loves punk rock type stuff!

I love these Paul Frank socks!  And the "Monk-keys" LOL

A Baby Shower Gift with a Phillies Theme

My friend Devin is expecting a baby boy.  Her shower is this weekend, and I made two picture frames for her.  The baby's room has a Phillies theme.

The Phillies onesie is actually the baby shower invite.  I made a color copy to use in this frame:

A Baby Boy Card

I have tons of baby showers coming up, so I decided to make a baby card. I know of 3 people having boys in the next two months, so I'm not exactly sure who this will go to. But it's definitely good to have extra cards on hand!

Details:
Stamp - Meljen's Designs (this is actually a freebie available on their PCP site)
Misc - Nesties Circles, MS Star Border Punch, Buttons from stash, letter beads from stash, Bic Mark it Markers

Challenges:
1. Creative Inspirations - sketch
2. Meljen's Designs - red, white, and blue (I hope this counts, it looked way too patriotic without the polka dot paper)
3. Critter Sketch - at least 4 stars (I've got WAY more than that!)
4. Pile it On - favorite things (I love making baby cards!)
5. La La Land - try something new (this is my first Meljen's image)

A Picture Frame for my nephew

For my nephew's 7th birthday, I made him a framed scrapbook page from our snow tubing trip.  In May we took him to the Philadelphia zoo and he asked me to make him a frame from that trip too.  I tried to showcase the photos of all of his favorite animals at the zoo.  I love the photo (top right) of him with the GIANT snapping turtle!

Here's what I came up with - I'm very pleased with the end result:

Tuesday Throwdown #7

Hey everyone, happy Tuesday!  The challenge at Tuesday Throwdown this week is Mosaics.  This is my favorite challenge so far - I love to create mosaics.  I actually created two projects for this week.

This card is unusual for me.  I usually make A2 or 6"x6" cards.  I've never made one this shape before, but I am thrilled with how it turned out.

This is the second project I did for this week.  I absolutely love the look of photo mosaics for scrapbook layouts.  I had the perfect pictures of my bridesmaids and I (and our bouquets).

Precious Moments - Wedding Layout

Here's another wedding layout. After the bridesmaids and I finished getting ready, they had me open their presents.  My parents gave me their presents as well.  I have collected Precious Moments since I was a kid, so my parents got me a bride and groom figure.

Close up of the presents:

After the presents were opened, it was time to get dressed.  The bridesmaids helped me with my tiara/veil and my dress.
