LM 427 - This and That - Patterned Paper

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is This and That.  This week, our challenge is to use at least 3 patterned papers.

I decided to create a layout with photos from my friend's son's first birthday party.  It had a circus theme, so this paper worked perfectly.

This was the invitation that my friend made.  (All the info is on the back). Isn't it super cute?

LM 426 - Holiday Traditions - My Favorite Things

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is Holiday Traditions.  This week, we are creating layouts about our favorite things.

I have collected Precious Moments for years.  I received my first when I was a child.  (I think I received my first from my grandmother on my first communion).  I have an extensive collection of Christmas Precious Moments, including ornaments from 2002 to present, a nativity set and various large figures.  This prompt was a great way to scrap a page about them.

LM 425 - Holiday Traditions - Wreaths

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is Holiday Traditions.  This week, our focus is on wreaths.  I also used the sketch I designed for December's single page at Stick it Down.

I chose some photos from last Christmas.  We were opening presents with my father in law and brothers in law.

Guest DT at For the Love of Pretty Paper

I was asked to be a guest designer at For the Love of Pretty Paper, which is a Facebook Group for scrapbooking.  Throughout November and December, there's tons of Scrappy Winter Olympics challenges.

Today's challenge is to use fussy cutting.  I pulled out an old October Afternoon collection and I fussy cut several birds and branches.

Every year, my high school alma mater holds a Christmas fruit sale.  I used to work it when I was in high school and my favorite teacher still runs it.  He and I got a photo together last year.

December Stick it Down

Here's this month's sketch at Stick it Down.  It was designed by yours truly.  I wanted to create a sketch that had room for lots of holiday photos, and I loved the idea of using the look of a gift wrap bow.

I wanted to create a layout with photos from last Christmas.  I included a photo of each of my family members opening presents, plus my brother's sweet dog Millie.  Sadly she passed away recently, so this was her last Christmas.

 Supplies:
All papers, stickers and ephemera by Photoplay Paper Winter Meadow Collection
Black Sharpie Fine Point

I am entering this layout into this month's challenge at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration.  I used these items from their list: dots, plaid, Christmas/holiday elements, numbers, animal, snowflake/winter elements, hearts, garland/banner, create your design using a grid, bows.

LM 424 - Holiday Traditions - Old Time Photo

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is Christmas traditions.  This week, we are featuring old time photos from when we were kids!

I have been wanting to scrapbook my childhood for a while.  I have tons of photos set aside for this project and I am glad to get around to doing a layout for the album.

I love this photo from Christmas 1992, when I was 9 years old.  I was really into American Girl dolls that year, as evidence by the two in my arms, lol.

I decided to use an old Christmas collection that I've had for YEARS!  So glad to use some of my stash!
