LM 440 - April Holidays - Lawn & Garden Month

April is Lawn & Garden Month.  This week at Lasting Memories, our challenge is to create a layout about your yard in April. 

Last April, I took photos of my dogs in my yard.  We had these beautiful white flowers growing in our grass and the dogs looked so cute frolicking in them.  I made sure to take a bunch of photos before we cut the lawn for the first time that year.

Virginia at Confessions of a Paper Addict created this GORGEOUS cut file and I could not wait to use it.  She has a challenge going on right now, so I am entering this layout. 

In November, my husband and I went to a wedding for one of his co-workers.  We took this beautiful picture, which is my favorite recent photo of us.  I thought it would go perfectly with this cut file.

I decided to cut the file in black, instead of white.  I LOVE how it turned out.  It stands out so nicely against the background.  This paper collection is one of my favorites and it works perfectly, since my husband and I are both in burgundy.

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is inspiration photos.  Here's this week's inspiration:

I had the perfect photo for this week.  When I was in the Bahamas, I took a photo with a display of floral wreaths outside of a flower shop.  It's one of my favorite photos from the trip and I absolutely LOVE how this page turned out.  I used LOTS of flowers from my favorite collection EVER, Crate Paper Flourish.

LM 438 - Photo Inspiration - Irish Inspiration

This month at Lasting Memories, we are having photo inspiration challenges.  Since today is St. Patrick's Day, we are using this image as our inspiration:

For our 10th anniversary, my husband and I went to Ireland in October of 2017.  One of the images in the inspiration photo is of the Temple Bar, so I decided to make a layout about it.  The Temple Bar is an iconic bar in Dublin. My husband and I visited there on our first day in Ireland.

A Masculine Birthday Card

I have been making a lot of cards recently.  It's probably because my supplies are dwindling.  I was a Stampin' Up demonstrator for a couple years and I had made TONS of samples.  I still have several hundred cards already made up, but they're mostly Christmas or Thank You's.  I don't reach for them as often as birthday, wedding or baby cards.  My stash of those is basically gone!

I have a bunch of March birthdays, so there will likely be more card making in my future.

A First Birthday Card

I created this card for my BFF's daughter.  She turned one over the weekend.  Unfortunately, she lives in Los Angeles (and I am in Philadelphia), so I didn't get to see her for her birthday.  I wanted to make sure that I mailed a card though.

March Stick It Down

Here's this month's sketch at Stick it Down.  It was designed by yours truly!

I decided to create a layout with some of my photos of the sea turtles at Atlantis in the Bahamas.  This layout was a great way to use my modeling paste and my sea turtle stencil too.

LM 436 - Inspiration Photos - Tropical Triangle

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is inspiration photos.  Here's our photo for this week:

I went to the Bahamas last May and I had the perfect photo for this challenge.  I was wearing my teal tank top with a flamingo on it.  I pulled out the Crate Paper Oasis collection and the colors were perfect.  There's even little triangles on the paper I used at the top left.  I used a background paper by Simple Stories.  The black and white palm trees reminded me of the inspiration photo.
