LM 355 - All About Animals - On the Farm

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is "All About Animals."  This week, our challenge is to use a farm animal - it can be in your photo, on your paper or embellishments, etc.

I went to an agricultural high school in Philadelphia.  I am planning to create a scrapbook with my photos from high school.  This will be the first page for the scrapbook.

Sea, Sun & Fun

Here's another layout using Hip Kit Club kits.  I used some additional goodies from the Oasis collection too.  I really love how this layout came out.

My BFF lives all the way across the country in Los Angeles (I'm in Philly).  She came to visit in June and we went to Long Beach Island (LBI) in NJ.  Another friend of ours came down to the beach too.  It was a little chilly, so we went to the beach bundled up.  We brought bloody mary's to drink.  Once we finished, we left our cups and flip flops and went for a walk.  I love the photo of our flip flops and glasses all lined up.  I wrote 2017 in the sand below, it's a little hard to see.

I started with this sketch by Sketches in Thyme.  I was going to put two waves above the photo and two waves below, but I ended up moving the photo up and putting all the waves below.  I also ended up adding a ton of embellishments, but I think you can see the basic sketch.

LBI Weekend Trip

I got a couple of the Hip Kit Club kits and I have been wanting to use them.  I used some additional goodies from the Oasis collection too.  I really love how this layout came out.

We took photos in this adorable coffee shop.  They had FABULOUS palm tree wallpaper that we absolutely loved.  The photos went perfectly with Crate Paper's Oasis Collection.

LM 353 - Summer Adventures - Use a BIG Title

This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is "Summer Adventures."  This week's challenge is to use a BIG title to document your big adventure.

I decided to create a layout about California Adventure Park.  It's located in Anaheim California, right next to Disneyland.  My BFF and I went there last year.  Technically, it wasn't a summer adventure, but I actually travel more in the fall and winter than I do in the summer.

A Bridal Shower Card

As I mentioned in my last post, I don't make a lot of cards.  On Saturday, I made two for the two showers I attended this weekend.

A Very Hungry Caterpillar Shower Card

I don't make cards often, but I made TWO on Saturday morning.  I had a bridal shower Saturday and a baby shower Sunday this weekend.

The baby shower was for my friend Amanda. She doesn't know what she's having, and she's doing an Eric Carle themed nursery.  The shower had a book theme and was adorable!

I got inspiration from the invitation.  I was at the CKC convention in Lancaster, PA on Friday and happened to find "A Very Hungry Caterpillar" flat backs, so I bought a two pack.  I used one for this card and I will use the other on a layout about the shower.

LM 352 - Summer Adventures - 4th of July

At Lasting Memories, this month our theme is "Summer adventures."  This week's challenge is to scrap your 4th of July adventure.

I host an annual 4th of July picnic.  Last year, we only took one photo of my girlfriends and I.  It's one of my favorite pictures, so I had to scrapbook it!

July Stick it Down Challenge

Here's this month's double page sketch at Stick it Down.

I struggled with this sketch a little.  I don't normally include so many photos on one page.  It took me a while of going through photos to find ones that would fit this layout.  I ended up doing a layout for my brother's 30th surprise party last year.

There was a lot of blue in my photos.  I found an old Simple Stories collection that went perfectly!
