My kitchen window - as you can see, there was a foot of snow on the ledge
The front of our house after the second snow storm (the snow is up to the porch!):
Close up of the snow up to the porch:
The snowdrifts in the backyard during the second storm - the snow is almost up to the top of the grill and the chairs:
Rocky and Daphne checking things out:
Daphne (we had to make a path in order for her to use the bathroom - the snow was much taller than her!):
Rocky stands on a snow drift and is almost over our fence:
Daphne shaking the snow off (please excuse the clothes on the laundry room floor!):
My husband's car - he didn't clear it after the first storm, so this is from both storms:
Needless to say, I've been bored out of my mind (the cable has been out too!), so I got some crafting done.
I participated in a card kit swap with the Magnolia-licious yahoo group. You sent two patterned papers, a Tilda stamped image, ribbons, and other embellishments. I made this card with the AMAZING kit I received from Barbara Gates. She really went above and beyond by sending extra papers, flowers, buttons, and other embellishments. I didn't even use everything that she sent on this card! I can't give my recipe for this card, as everything was from the card kit.
I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday:
I made this card for my friend's birthday. She loves bright colors, her favorite is orange.

Oh Lauren, this is just wonderful and just what we need in this world of white outside. Your photos are amazing! I am not that far from you but don't think we are quite that bad. Is all of that as it fell, or is some of it from drifts? Amazing. How are the dogs faring?
Lauren,
WOW what a bright and cheerful card - perfect for a Happy Birthday. You were sure lucky to receive all you did in the swap!
Tilda is lovely. You did good :o)
Hugs, Candy
OMG I would love to watch your dogs romp in that snow lol. My Chihuahua and Dachshund think they are far too superior to venture out in the snow lol.
LOVE LOVE LOVE your card! It was a super kit and you made it shine with your layout!
Hi Lauren, wow, look at all that snow. It's hard to believe really, as here in Central Texas we rarely get even a flake! But, hey! Thanks to Mother Nature you've had some extra crafting time. This card is very sweet. Those pretty bright papers should really brighten your friends day. You did a great job on the challenge sketch too. Take care and keep warm....hugs...Barb
Hi Lauren ~ WOW... you've got soooo much snow! I live in California - it's chilly, but no rain (or snow) here today. I'm so glad that you have your crafts and your adorable doggies to keep you company :D
Your friend Theresa is going to love this bright and cheery card! You are so sweet to create it for her. Tilda is always so darling... and how fun to receive the card kit. I'm participating in the card kit swap for March. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!
