Tuesday Throwdown #17
Happy Tuesday! This week, at Tuesday Throwdown, our challenge is distressing. We were able to use images from Dee Dee's Digis and she has lots of adorable images to choose from!
This week is a special week, as we are helping to celebrate Operation Write Home's Birthday. OWH is an organization that collects cards to send to soldiers overseas. The soldiers are then able to use the cards to send to loved ones back here in the states.
OWH is a cause dear to my heart. My husband is in the Army - he served 4 years active duty, and has been a member of the reserves for almost 5 years. During his active duty, he spent 3 years stationed in Germany and one year in Afghanistan. We were dating the whole time he was overseas, and I know what it's like to have a loved one over there. I truly appreciate the sacrifices that the soldiers and their families make in order to keep our country safe. A huge THANK YOU to all of our armed forces!
Here's a few photos of my favorite soldier (and me):
Without further ado, here's my card:

Another Diaper Cake
I went to another baby shower for my good friend (and scrapbooking buddy) Jess. I made another diaper cake (with a "bug" theme). Since she visits my blog, and her shower was a surprise, I couldn't post pictures before the shower. This shower was two weeks ago (Dara's shower was Saturday and Jess's shower was Sunday!) and I just realized that I didn't post the pics yet!

The baby's name is going to be Emma
