Happy New Year! This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is "word play." There will be a word each week to use somewhere on your layout. This week's word is "happy." (You can use happy, happiness, happiest etc).
I decided to create a layout for my Dad's birthday. He was 64 in November. We went out to dinner at a local restaurant and then went to see Murder on the Orient Express. He loved the original movie and was so excited for this re-make.
All paper and embellishments are from the Carta Bella Traditions Collection.

Home for the Holidays
I've had a little bit of time to scrap this week. I was inspired by this layout by Rachel O'Neal for the Paper Issues blog. Isn't it adorable?
This is what I ended up with. I used photos of my house in the snow and some of my Christmas decorations. I absolutely LOVE how this turned out!
I am entering the Paper Issues challenge on Facebook. I used white, snowflakes, layers, stickers and ink.
Supplies:
White Cardstock by Stampin Up
Patterned Paper by Crate Paper Falala
Stickers, enamel shapes & Chipboard by Crate Paper Falala
Green tree stickers by October Afternoon Under the Tree Collection
I decided to make a 2 page scene. I sketched out what I wanted. Please excuse my poor drawing skills, LOL.

LM 375 - December Holidays/Traditions - More than 2 photos
This month, our theme is December Holidays and Traditions. Our challenge is to use more than 2 photos on your layout. This is a two week challenge. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Paper & Stickers - Close to my Heart Yuletide
These photos are from Christmas 2016. We were all opening presents at my brother's house. For my parents and nephew, we bought them tickets to a show, so they are holding up the papers that say where they are going. We took my nephew to a Flyers game, my dad to a comedy show at Helium Comedy Club, and my mom to a QVC studio tour.
My mom had a siamese cat, who passed away right after Christmas. I got her a cute doorstop. My sister in law has a westie, so I got her a light up westie in a Santa suit. My brother wrapped my husband's gift in princess paper - hilarious!

LM 374 - December Traditions - Tic Tac Toe
This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is December Holidays/Traditions. This week, we have a tic tac toe challenge.
I decided to choose the diagonal row from the bottom left to the top right.
Blue: Stickers (Saint Augustine December 2016)
Two Types of Alphas: I actually used 3. Family, vacation, and Saint Augustine December 2016.
Glitter or Sequins: The chipboard sticker tree has glitter on the pot and sequins on the tree.
I created the first page for my St. Augustine scrapbook. I went there last December with my husband and his family. Everything was decorated for Christmas and it was gorgeous! Loved it there!
Patterned Paper: Crate Paper Falala
Chipboard & stickers: Crate Paper Falala
Vacation gold word & hearts: Crate Paper Oasis
