This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is "all about paper." This week, our challenge is to create your own background paper.
I got a white sheet of cardstock, covered it with white gesso and went to town with my sprays. I used the packaging technique, then dripped additional splatters.
I have TONS of project life cards and I never use them. I saw a layout on pinterest that used 6 cards similarly to how I did. I really like this, and I definitely think I will be doing this again.
These photos are from my friend's birthday a couple months ago. We went to a Mexican restaurant called Lucha Cartel in downtown Philly. The food was delicious and after dinner, they move the tables against the walls and turn the space into a dance club. It was SOOOO fun!
Supplies:
Simple Stories Project Life Cards and embellishments
Gold thickers
White Gesso
Heidi Swapp Gold texture paste and plus sign stencil (not sure where it's from)
Heidi Swapp Color Shine - Navy, Green, Blue, Pink

I love your mixed media background along with the patterned papers, Lauren! :)
Great layout and pics-fabulous background and love the splatters--can I ask what the packaging technique is please?
