I've been a bad girl...

I went to A.C. Moore yesterday because they are having a big sale on Cricut cartridges ($39.99!!!!), so I bought Sweethearts and Winter Woodland. I also have a raincheck for Everyday Paper Dolls. They had sold out of it within a few hours! So now that I've spent a bunch of hard earned money, I need to get crafting!

*****NOTE: I am back to work as of today. I work from home during the summer, as I am in the education field and school's out. (I am not a teacher, I am a yearbook sales associate). So as of today, I will not be on the Cricut MB or my blog as much. I will craft as much as my busy work schedule allows. I apologize in advance if I go AWOL from time to time.

Two Asian Inspired Cards

My two childhood best friends both live in New York, one in Manhattan and the other in Brooklyn. I visit them periodically, but I have been missing them a lot recently. All three of us are into Asian decor, especially bamboo. On my last visit to NYC, we visited an adorable Asian store, where I got a GORGEOUS Asian tea set. (The three of us also performed together in a school play of The King and I).

I just got this adorable Hero Arts stamp set from Simon Says Stamp, so I thought they would be perfect to use on a card for my two besties.

I wanted to create two similar cards, but I didn't want them to be exactly the same. I used all the same elements and two different sketches.

CARD 1:Front:
Inside of #1:
This sketch was from Inspirational Card Sketches.

CARD 2:

Inside #2:
This sketch was from Card Positioning Systems.

On these cards, I used the Hero Arts Asian Dolls stamps, paper by Anna Griffin, Studio G sentiment stamp, adhesive pearls, and the Creative Memories scallop corner punch.

Fireplace Xmas Card

INSIDE: (I used the reverse cut of the Xmas tree instead of throwing it out. I think this works well for the insides of cards, as long as the shape is big enough to write your message inside the card). The stamp is by Studio G and it says "Warm Winter Wishes." I thought it was so appropriate for this card.

I am very happy with how this card turned out. I have been wanting to make the fireplace from my new Cricut Joys of the Season cartridge. I also used the cart to make the tree and candle. I used stickles to create the garland across the fireplace. The paper is by Me & My Big Ideas. I love how the striped paper looks like wallpaper. The ribbon is American Crafts.

Here are the challenges:
1. Winter Wonderland - Home for the Holidays
2. Simon Says Stamp - Xmas in August
3. Tuesday Morning Sketches - sketch
4. 365 Cards - Triangle, buttons, sticker (I used Jolees poinsettia dimensional stickers)

Joy Bear Xmas Card

A close up of the stamp with red & green stickles.
I created this card for a swap on the Cricut messageboard. (I made 5 of them). I used my new Joys of the Season Cricut Cartridge to make the bear and oval. I used a Studio G stamp, stickles, poinsettia primas, the Martha Stewart leaf punch, a brad, Cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder, and pop dots.

Here are the challenges:

1. Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - sketch
2. Dutch Dare - Winter in August
3. Stamptacular Sunday - bear
4. Our Creative Corner - Christmas in August

Cherry Tilda card for a friend

I made this card for a friend of mine. I hope she likes it! I just got Cherry Tilda from Magnolia-licious, so I was dying to use her! I got the cherry stamp from Studio G and the cherry ribbon from the dollar bin at Michael's. I got the cherry die cuts from someone on the Cricut messageboard - I think they are from the Hello KItty Font.

I used the Martha Steward Lace Heart punch, stickles on the cherries inside the card, and rhinestones on the front.

Here are the challenges it fulfills:
1. Just Magnolia - friendship
2. Sketch Saturday - sketch
3. ABC Challenge - A is for Anything Goes
4. Secret Crafters - fancy corners (inside card)
5. Stamp something - summer vacation (cherries always make me think of summer!)
6. Pollycraft - favorite things (I love cherries!)
7. Cupcake Craft Challenge - something sweet

My Hawaiian Honeymoon Album - #2

Ok, a while back, I posted my entire Oahu honeymoon album. I finally finished my Big Island of Hawaii honeymoon album. So here it is, in its entirety. I used Life's a Beach Cricut Cartridge for all the font & other cuts that you see here.
