My blog has looked the same for YEARS.  I was getting sick of it, so I decided to find a new background and make myself new titles.  What do you think?

LM 435 - Color Challenge - Black & White + Lavender

This month at Lasting Memories, we are having color challenges.  This week, our challenge is to use black, white and lavender on your layout.

I struggled with this challenge a bit.  Purple is actually my favorite color, but I don't scrap with it often.  There aren't a ton of purple scrapbook collections.  I dug through my stash and found some gorgeous rose floral paper from the Prima Lavender Collection. 

I went through my photos and came across some from my annual formal dinner for work.  My dress was dark purple, though it looks black in a lot of the photos.  Mostly everyone else is wearing black.

A Get Well Card

I haven't been making many cards lately, as I have so many stockpiled from when I was a Stampin' Up demonstrator.  

I checked my stock and I didn't have a get well card.  A co-worker was in the hospital for over a week and I wanted to send one to her.  This is what I came up with.

LM 434 - Color Challenge - Black & White + Pink

This week at Lasting Memories, our challenge is to use black & white with pink. 

I took some photos of my dogs recently with Valentine's Day props, though they're hard to see in the photos.  I just got a bunch of V-day supplies from Michaels and Tuesday Morning, so I was glad to have photos to scrap with it.

Sweet Summer

I've been trying to back some of my stash.  I have joined some facebook pages, such as Crafty Use it or Lose It and Bash Your Scrapbook Stash.  

I recently came across my scraps from the first Simple Stories collection I ever bought - Summer Fresh. I had 1 full 12x12 paper (which I used for the background) plus some border strips and project life cards. I used it to scrap this cute photo of my nephew.

I fussy cut some bugs from the Crate Paper Flourish Collection.  These bugs look exactly like the ones on his onesie!  I colored the pink bugs to make them red so that they matched this page. The last photo is what my cat, Oliver, was doing while I was fussy cutting the bugs. LOL

LM 433 - Color Challenge - Black & White + Green

This week at Lasting Memories, our challenge is to use black & white with green. 

I don't use green very much when I scrapbook, unless it's Christmas or St. Patrick's day.  So I decided to make a St. Patty's Day layout for this challenge.

This is a photo of my husband and I on St. Patty's Day 2018.  We went to a local brewery for drinks with friends, then went to a casino for a bit.  Since our last name is Mullarkey, the title just fit, lol.

February Stick it Down

I decided to use photos from my grandmother's 90th birthday party.  She wore a peach outfit and it worked perfectly with this collection.

LM 432 - Color Challenge - Black & White + Blue

This month at Lasting Memories, we are focusing on color. This week, our challenge is to use only black, white and blue on your layout.  

I am typically someone who likes a lot of color, so this month was a little tricky for me.  I started going through my photos and came across this one of my Mom and I at Mamma Mia.  She and I are members at the Walnut Street Theater in Philadelphia, so we see a lot of shows together.  

This photo was PERFECT for this challenge.  Mamma Mia takes place in Greece, so I always associate that with blue and white.  Also, check out out our outfits!  I am wearing a black and white floral dress, my Mom is wearing a black dress and carrying a blue purse!  

I've been hoarding this beautiful blue floral paper from the Crate Paper Willow Lane Collection and this was the perfect opportunity to use it.  I also did some mixed media on the background too.
